Carnival Legend, which side of the ship?

Newbie question. Is there a preference over which side of the ship your balcony cabin is on? I guess when docked you would be able to see port vs. not? We have 2 cabin options one with even numbers and one with odd numbers.

Thanks

since there's no way to tell which way the ship will dock, it's a toss-up! Get the best location and cabin you can afford, and don't worry about the "side" of the ship! Sometimes, a ship will dock right next to another ship, so you're looking directly into someone else's cabin on a different ship!

If you don't like your view, go to an open deck and you'll be able to see 360 degrees!
