distance from south beach to POM

Can anyone tell me how long it takes to cab it from South Beach hotels to POM, and how much would it cost? Arriving in FLL 3:30 Sat., for Sunday afternoon departure from POM. Trying to decide if it's worth staying outside of downtown.

It's only about 4-5 miles, but can take anywhere from 15-30+ minutes depending on where on South Beach your hotel is and how bad the traffic is.

 

It's well worth stay on South Beach, there's nothing to do in downtown Miami (except Bayside and that's not much). South Beach you have a massive selection of shops and restaurants to choose from, some of the best people watching on the planet, as well as a great beach.
