Carnival Vista Dry Dock Early 2024

When/If it happens I can promise you that people on here will say that is the risk you take. Just like they do for inaugural cruises. It is more likely to get canceled than a regular cruise. But who knows? -
It's Time for a CELEBRATION!!! (with pics) - April 16th 2023

Saw this yacht (OCTO) on the Monaco Webcam today. They are set up for the Grand Prix at the end of the month I assume. The harbor during the race is overflowing with yachts this size. That's a swimming pool under that cover in back. -
I believe this was a review of the Pride. Not a review of their cruise. My analogy would be if they posted a review of the Disneyland hotel and then you replied, "did you enjoy your time in the park?" Every review has its purpose.

**** CARNIVAL COVID TESTING THREAD #2 **** JANUARY 6, 2002

And July 1 is now showing -
Just off the Vista this morning and did see the longest lines I have ever experienced on Carnival and this is my 3rd since restart. The longest line was pizza after 11 PM. The line at several times stretched to the Seafood Shack and then turned and went across the pool deck almost to the Bar. Wait was easily an hour since several times there was one person working. I think there isn't one lone thing. The changes in hours for several food venues almost funnels people into big lines and the staffing is absolutely an issue. Went to Seaday Brunch yesterday and order wasn't taken for 35 minutes. We were talking so time wasn't that big a deal but over 60 minutes for breakfast (several mistakes on our order as well) is a bit much. Eventually something will give. Came across several staff members who were frazzled to say the least. We way over tipped just in the hopes of letting them know we get it.

Rule of thumb. If it is an excursion that would interest the whole family or involves animals it will sell out. At least that has been my experience.

This is what makes me laugh about Verifly. I highly suspect that all your paperwork is being routed offshore to some person sitting in a cubicle looking at your paperwork and then putting a virtual check or X on the account. It just screams of TSA theater. You can send them a picture of your vaccine card but you can't show a picture of your vaccine card at the port. The Verifly people don't do anything that the smiling agent at check in does. -
Is Walgreens discontinuing rapid NAAT test?
arizdback replied to BaybeeLetsCruise's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
CVS is still doing tests. Don't know if you are in Phoenix but they do testing in an old CVS at 43rd and Bethany. They have appointments 2 weeks out right now. Last time I went there it was free but don't know what it is now. We have 8 of us going next month so I'm just ordering the test kit too. Just too much of a hassle to get us all there on the same day. -
Yes you need the original card at the terminal. The whole system is rather bizarre because you can't show a photo of the card at the terminal but you can upload a photo of the card to Verifly where nothing special happens except the person who looks at the photo is likely in some call center building in another country. This is not a comment on the need for a vaccine or whatever, just pointing out that consistency is lacking in the execution.

As others have said, 15 minutes is way too late for first few groups. There are actual YouTube videos showing you how to get early slots. I was reserved in under a minute on last cruise. There are a surprising number of people like me who want to get right on the ship to wander around aimlessly with no cabin for no apparent reason. 🙂
