  1. It depends on how much your annual W-2G's total. Ours total over $100,000/yr, so it behooves us to try to reduce the tax liabilities.
  2. The captain just informed us our arrival to Vancouver on Thursday, May 9th will be delayed from early morning to 2:00 pm. The delayed docking is further exacerbated by the tides schedule and having to cross a bridge in The Vancouver area at 1:00 pm, otherwise the ship would not be able to clear the bridge. So as we see lots of moving parts when a medical evacuation is required.
  3. Thank you for your insight on the Ovation rescue. Let's all hope the Edge medical transfer goes similarly. As an aside unbeknownst to me the patient transfer was actually shown on the in room TV cam.
  4. Yes, all cruise comped offers from every cruiseline are for double occupancy.
  5. Someone caught a photo of the actual patient transfer. Yesterday the captain had said this transfer was going to happen today around 4-4:30pm so it seems it was accelerated 6 hours.
  6. That must be the case here, right now, for Ovation of the Seas, we're off the San Francisco coast. They also deployed a refueling ship? For the helicopter.
  7. The bed position for two separate beds is the same as the beds in the couch position,or Day position.
  8. T-Mobile has international roaming data plans that give you 5-G speeds and in the future what she should sign up for.
  9. Do you mean Freeplay for a future cruise? Otherwise what you're saying doesn't make any sense. Carnival doesn't 'rebate' cash and certainly not $2,500 for only 10,000 points earned. What you're writing doesn't make any sense.
  10. We are currently on the Ovation of the Seas in Junior suite (Royal's version of a Sky Suite) on a 9 day repositioning from Hawaii to Vancouver. This was a fully comped cruise via Royal's casino program, which Celebrity has recently adopted. We are having an enjoyable time and have been having dinner in Royal's suites only restaurant. We had $1,500 Freeplay with this sailing and was able to cash out $1,877 from the Freeplay!
  11. The way gamblers look at cruise casino complementaries is that the time and amount spent in a cruiseship casino would be the same with or without the cruise being comped. So why not accept a free cruise and use the funds that would have gone to pay for the cabin to play in the cruiseship casino? Tbh that's the general 'expectation' for all gamblers towards complementaries from a casino. I come play and spend my money in your casino so even though I'm enjoying myself I still EXPECT you to give me freebies in exchange for my business.

  13. You need to earn 25,000 points to get a certificate for a sky suite on SELECTED SAILINGS. It's from a list of preselected sailings and must be booked onboard using the next cruise program in conjunction with the earned cruise certificate. Consulting my gambler husband you would need to be putting through an average of $10-$15,000 of your own money to generate that amount of points.
