Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Many times that I have returned towels the scanner was "not working" and they would "write it down". Sometimes it works and other times I get charged for towels. I do like the Royal App so I can check my account.
  2. Another vote for a relaxing day at Krazy Lobster! There is no charge for the table and chairs. Don't let the taxi drivers try to tell you that you have to have a reservation or that Krazy Lobster charges you. Mauricio, the owner, is aware of the taxi drivers doing this. Stop by and say Hi to Mauricio. He is very friendly and accommodating. Food and drinks are good and prices are reasonable.
  3. They are still denying that there is a problem with the payment screen online. I have still not received any resolution to my problem. You may get a better response with the C&A phone number 1-800-526-9723.
  4. Just spoke with Customer Service and Rewards Program. Altogether I have spoken with 5 different people about an unrelated problem and none of them acknowledged there being a problem with the website.
  5. Trying to do that now. They can't seem to do that and apply the credit.
  6. I am 7 days to final payment and now Royal is telling me that my $300 credit will not be applied until the day of final payment. I am not comfortable with waiting until the last minute and taking a chance that my cruise will be cancelled due to their glitchy IT. Anyone else have this experience or a possible resolution?
  7. Just checked...mine too! I was trying to make a final payment on one and they all show Paid in Full.
  8. "This benefit is non-transferable, cannot be exchanged for cash and cannot be used for casino credits/charges and gratuities charged to your onboard account." Is the part about gratuities new? On our cruises the Stockholder OBC was applied to gratuities as well.
  9. While we were in Cozumel (at the Carnival port) we didn't see any dive boats going to the Allure either. I don't mind booking privately but recently we have had a few itinerary changes and port cancellations. Booking through the cruise line is just more convenient for us.
  10. We just got back from a Carnival cruise and our scuba excursion was cancelled. The Shore Excursion Desk said that the cancellations were fleet-wide due to some insurance requirements. They were not sure if scuba would be offered in the future. We have some Royal Caribbean cruises booked that we have already purchased scuba excursions. Should we cancel and book privately?
  11. We have always had very good experiences with dives booked through the ship. We have two upcoming cruises on Royal Caribbean that we have already booked Scuba excursions. Hopefully, this is temporary and will be resolved. Otherwise, we have no problem booking privately but we did not have the opportunity to do so on this trip due to the short notice.
  12. If anyone has an update, please let us know.
  13. We had a 2-Tank Dive excursion booked through Carnival on the Breeze. Before we arrived in Cozumel we were notified that all dive excursions were cancelled fleet-wide. While we were in Cozumel we didn't see any dive boats servicing Carnival or Royal ships. When we enquired at the Shore Excursions desk we were told that it had to do with insurance. It sounds like it may just be a temporary thing but if you have a dive scheduled you may want to double check. On our upcoming cruises we plan to book privately.
  14. I'm old. I remember the excitement when you got a big fat envelope in the mail with all your cruise documents, luggage tags, and some colorful brochures!
