Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. The only port of those that could possibly even have something of the sort would be Juneau and even then you're pressing your luck.
  2. No they didn't use Old Bay. If I remember right it was just like saltwater boiled. It was still pretty good. Crab was dungeness
  3. Tracy's crab shack in Juneau is the rare place that is super touristy but still excellent. I love it and stop there every time in Juneau. It's touristy, so sort of expensive, but I don't think I've had better crab anywhere.
  4. There wasn't any difference in spacing of tables between when we cruised pre-pandemic to when we were on Eurodam a few weeks ago.
  5. No you don't need one as stated above. That said, I just got back from an Alaskan cruise I booked with the Have It All and the signature beverage package is something I will continue to get, even if it doesn't really save me money, just because of the simplicity and the fact I didn't have to police what my kids were drinking so that it didn't break my bank account.
  6. They had a good time doing things like excursions. The time on board, there was a lot of them just sitting in the room watching tv. They did like to go to the trivia stuff with me and loved afternoon tea. The fact that the main lido pool is covered was also a big plus because they could swim desire the outside weather.
  7. Just got off Eurodam from a 7 day Alaska round trip Seattle cruise (April 30-May 7). When we boarded, we took our 3 teens (17, and twin 13 year olds) to the loft to register them. We were informed that since there were only a total of 17 teens aboard that they were only going to do one activity per day. To make this worse, they scheduled it at 10 pm. I know HAL tends to cater to an older crowd, but is this a Covid thing or is this normal?
  8. A few more hours and I’m on the Eurodam
