  1. I agree that the food on P&O should be better than a pub, but we've been to quite a few pubs to stay in the last few years and frankly I have had better food in the pub if last October on Aurora is anything to go by. Never see constant roasts on a pub menu.
  2. Selborne, agree. I don't find them a rip off either. No difference to what we pay in a pub in the UK. Each year we have a UK holiday in the car and stay in nice pubs. A bottle of wine is usually about £22, (basic) and a large glass is about £7 to £9. Same on the ship. The room is anywhere from £85 to £115 per night including breakfast, so dinner is obviously on top of that.
  3. That doesn't normally happen with a credit card, only a debit card.
  4. Was sitting on deck with some other people and there were groans every time he said the same thing again. I'm on an adult only cruise, so why the totally childish remarks. Totally pathetic.
  5. And yet, I have just booked Aurora for October 2025 and it was just over £100 pppn. OK that's an inside, but it's not expensive. 19 nights.
  6. I'm afraid one of those drives me nuts with his really pathetic, childish jokes. It wouldn't be so bad if they weren't the same every day.
  7. Do you know I never thought of that!!
  8. Wel of course you can drink for that price at home! BUT if you go to a pub, a large glass of wine is about the same as on P&O. You are not at home!
  9. Drinks prices on board are not much different to pub prices these days, so not sure why people think they are expensive. The package is expensive unless you drink a lot of alcohol and soft drinks.
  10. Level 3 is high, Level 4 is very high, according to Google.
  11. Noro seems to be everywhere at the minute! https://nypost.com/2024/04/30/us-news/norovirus-outbreaks-linked-to-2-cruise-ships-with-over-150-infected/
  12. Agree. Fred Olsen do not allow any alcohol to be brought on board at all. There must be others.
  13. Another weird thing is having to log into each cruise differently. Why on earth, once you have logged in, you should be able to edit all your cruises. You can with Fred.
  14. Me neither. I cannot for the life of me see what difference it makes to your cruise at all. As long as they know what they are doing and don't make the same stupid jokes every day!!
