Reflection speciality dining, if you could pick one?
Cruise a holic replied to kaz828's topic in Celebrity Cruises
We love the lawn club grill for dinner. Our favorite Reflection and Silhouette restaurant. Great freshly prepared food as you like it. The lamb chops are wonderful as is the Filet mignon -
Cruise a holic started following Coco Cay Beach Club Cabana's , New class being possibly revealed “very soon” , Live from the Wonder of the Seas - May 5 to May 12th 2024 and 5 others

While the Icon of the Seas was a remarkable ship, perfect for young families, as a Senior, I found it too big. We were in a suite- but it was smaller then the Oasis class suites, with less storage space. I prefer the Oasis class ships. They have many of the bells and whistles and choice, it isn't as huge as the Icon ships. We do not like the small ships. Less choice- and some need serious renovations. Perhaps they will be sold. Let's face it- as time marches by, many more young families will be sailing and the industry has to prepare for them.

Grand Suite Anthem of Seas
Cruise a holic replied to Chan50's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Wow another reason I will not sail on the Anthem. The Oasis class ships have a wonderful dedicated suite lounge. Free alcoholic drinks typically avaliable from 5:30 -8:00 each night with nice canapés- During the day, from 11 until ? you can get unlimited wine, beer , soda and bottled water- in addition to coffee and tea. Grand suites and above can enjoy the lounge. Plus I am not a fan of the ships layout. -
No Laundry? Oh my! Really?
Cruise a holic replied to deltahog's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Two part reply. Some people don’t want to spend money for luggage on an airplane, others said they were worried about lost luggage -

Surely more clothes, less laundry worries. And while tracking devices cannot help if your luggage isn’t with you, but it helps knowing where your luggage is. Don’t bring designer clothes when traveling Most ports and countries have clothing shops in the event of an emergency. I once forgot underwear on a bermuda cruise and the ship had none but the port sold -

I don’t get it? People spend thousands on a cruise but have a problem paying for a piece of luggage? Also, we have tracking devices in our luggage. If misplaced at airport or pier we can track. Of course we carry on a change of clothes and a swimsuit, etc. for emergencies -

We pay for a couple of loads of laundry. We also bring plenty of clothes -
On our last cruise in March on the Icon, when we boarded we actually made all the unlimited dining plans. I "assume" still the same. The cruise line picks the first night but you can modify and make all your reservations once on board. Those with individual reservations have priority for times and restaurants, but we never had a problem as we like early dining and can be flexible about days for dining in each. Enjoy You also get lunch daily in speciality restaurants when they are open for lunch.

Yes, but CC only available for dinner- However, time and dates may not work for you. Do not count on CC for dinner nightly. The best thing about a Jr. Suite is the size of the cabin. Otherwise a well located balcony cabin with an unlimited dining plan, is a more worthwhile option. That is my opinion. We book full suites as we enjoy all of the suite perks.

Coco Cay Beach Club Cabana's

When did you go? We went in march and it was truly special -
Coco Cay Beach Club Cabana's

IMO not worth it. So overpriced. Better to just enjoy the island- If you are adults only, the adult beach was excellent and that IMO was well worth the price- typically between 59-79 dollars- pp, depending on the ship and sale- I would purchase asap then change if the rate comes down- I believe kids over 16 can also come- but check the ages if you have teens. If not- the entire Island has great food options, tons of seating included in your fare. Enjoy.
