caribbean_soul Posted August 10, 2012 #1 Share Posted August 10, 2012 Hi My DH and I are doing a partial transit of the Panama Canal on the Coral Princess with a stop in Limon, Costa Rica. We are considering this excursion. Has anyone done this tour? Any information would be appreciated. :)

itzmered Posted August 11, 2012 #4 Share Posted August 11, 2012 We did this tour and it was fantastic! We are going again in February this time on HAL and I wish they offered the same tour. It is a long day but well worth it. We saw so much wildlife Here is a link to the pics I took and I think Costa Rica is page 6 - 8 http://s252.photobucket.com/albums/hh36/itzmered/Island%20Princess%20Panama%20Canal%20Cruise%202011/ Here is a video I put together also
Reina del Mar Posted August 11, 2012 #5 Share Posted August 11, 2012 Excellent tour with local driver and tour guide booked at harbour....taxi van for about 10......mostly strangers. Visited local village, organic fruit stalls for tasting organic pineapple, mango, coconut milk, coconut water.. To same canal company as Princess tour where knowledgable guide pointed out sloths, hooter monkeys, frogs, crabs, iguanas and alligator. Went to beach bar then returned too port....cost us $35 each for about three hours. Driver then went on to rainforest for those interested....but wanted another $20 each. Still a lot less than Princess' tour. Enjoy !
