tigger_ag Posted July 20, 2013 #1 Share Posted July 20, 2013 The only information that I could find in a search is pretty old, so I'm hoping someone that has recently been on a cruise that included Glacier Bay can answer this question. When the park rangers come on board for Glacier Bay, do they have the cancellation stamp to use for stamping our National Parks Passport? Thanks, Kelly
Shmoo here Posted July 20, 2013 #2 Share Posted July 20, 2013 The only information that I could find in a search is pretty old, so I'm hoping someone that has recently been on a cruise that included Glacier Bay can answer this question. When the park rangers come on board for Glacier Bay, do they have the cancellation stamp to use for stamping our National Parks Passport? Thanks, Kelly On our HAL cruises, there was a National Park stamp available in the Crow's Nest all day. Don't know if there were others (with the rangers, or elsewhere onboard) available. Budget Queen Posted July 20, 2013 #3 Share Posted July 20, 2013 Yes, there is always an opportunity to get the Glacier Bay park stamp. They will also have a desk set up. Ask them where it is.
jamminlion Posted July 21, 2013 #4 Share Posted July 21, 2013 Definitely can get a stamp on board from the Rangers. They also bring some other things - books, little stuff. You can get a stamp in Skagway too - Gold Rush NP. It's sister park is down town Seattle.
smd247 Posted July 21, 2013 #5 Share Posted July 21, 2013 I collect the National Park hiking stick medallions. Anybody know where/if I will be able to find those for sale?
Krazy Kruizers Posted July 21, 2013 #6 Share Posted July 21, 2013 On HAL ships we have always been able to get our passports stamped. The table is always set up in the Crow's Nest. They always have items for sale -- even postcards.
Jasperdo Posted July 21, 2013 #7 Share Posted July 21, 2013 Here's a picture of the Glacier National Park Rangers setup on the Golden Princess. They definitely had the Passport Stamps there. Assateague Island Princes Posted July 21, 2013 #8 Share Posted July 21, 2013 smd247 - are you going to Denali? If so, they have the walking stick medallions in the little gift shop at the WAC and at the Alaska Geographic gift shop near the visitor's center. Magoosangel Posted August 12, 2013 #9 Share Posted August 12, 2013 Thanks I know its nothing too special but this makes me so happy. I collect the passport stamps on white paper and scrapbook them. I also collect the pins. I am very please I can get my stamp:) I also learned how to search the forums so I didn't have to ask a question that was already on here which is super enabling for more searches. MayasWay Posted August 20, 2013 #11 Share Posted August 20, 2013 Rangers brought the stamp for Glacier Bay aboard the Coral, and we saw the hiking stick markers and other Alaskan National Parks keepsakes in the Klondike Yukon Railroad visitor center in Skagway.
