What does it cost to have your laundry done on the Pearl? And do you just put what you want washed in one batch, or do you have to sort, and pay separately by cold/warm, etc....

Prices from our December 08 cruise:

Socks (pr) $1.00

PJ's (2 pc) $4.00 press only: $2.25

Nightgown/Negligee $3.50 press only: $2.00

Bathrobe $4.00 press only: $2.25

Travel Smith offers clothing you can wash in the sink, hang up and they are dry by morning. They also offer throw away underwear. Some say they take their "worn outs" and just toss them.

Yeah, but if I get run over in the buffet by a fat guy in a Speedo, I don't want the medivac guys seeing the holes in my unmentionables...........

Sadly for us we did not have to picture it we actually saw it on the Dawn and I about died. We thought he was naked! When he passed by we were fortunate enough (NOT!) to see a tiny bit of speedo that had managed to not get sucked into his crack! Funny how fast we lost our appetite after that. We did laugh at that for the remainder of the cruise, that is after we poured vodka in our eyes to clean out that image .

At least once on a 7 day cruise with NCL, they offer a "bag" laundry special for about $25.

I also always take a bar of Zote laundry soap which is excellent and rinses out easily and quickly compared to just "regular" soap.
