Debra.Ferrara Posted April 4, 2014 #1 Share Posted April 4, 2014 We are taking our son on a cruise in July. He will be 2 months away from his 3 rd birthday. Does anyone have any information on the kids program on the Gem? He won't be eligible for the 3 yer old program, but the Under 2 Zoo may not work either. He's at an in between age and I am curious what, if any, play rooms or programs would be available for him. Thanks!
mjkacmom Posted April 4, 2014 #2 Share Posted April 4, 2014 He will not be eligible for the kids program. NCL is VERY strict - if he turned 3 during the cruise, they would let him in on his birthday.
russianmom Posted April 4, 2014 #3 Share Posted April 4, 2014 There is no more under 2 Zoo. It's now and parent a child program for 6 mos-3years that occurs periodically during the day. There may be a "craft" or some toys for playtime.
Prinycesa07 Posted April 5, 2014 #4 Share Posted April 5, 2014 I dont know about the Gem but on the Jewel that had a little room full of toys for the young kids that was open all day. We were in there often and rarely saw anyone else in there so we usually had the whole room to ourselves.
Brochquine Posted April 6, 2014 #5 Share Posted April 6, 2014 We were on the spirit recently with our 2 1/2 yr old daughter. They usually had at least 1 session a day in the under 3 playroom where they had organised messy play activities. They also read stories and played with bubbles and balloons. At other times during the day you were free to go and play in the room with the toys although I thought the toys were more aimed towards younger children it was still a nice way to keep her entertained for a short while. One tip I would have is to take a set of clothes just for doing the messy activities as it saved getting their nice holiday clothes dirty. " Thanks, Brochequine, this is a useful suggestion!! I'm glad to hear there were done "organized " activities too, hoping there will be on the Dawn in. Few weeks as well though thinking there might be few kids.. Here's hoping! Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app
