Transportation: Papeete to Moorea

Can anyone advise me what would be the fastest way to travel to Moorea from Papeete on a Saturday and also tell me the most economical?

Also, would anyone know how far the airport is from the cruise terminal in Papeete? Would it be easy to grab cab to take us to the airport from the ship? Thanks-:)

The Aremiti ferry is fast and easy ( aremiti.net ) .A short walk from the cruise ship . Its also easy to get a cab from the ship for the short distance to the airport in Papeete.

The ferry terminal is within a short walking distance from dock.

You can easily get a taxi to the airport, a 10-15min drive from the dock.

Taxi from the airport to the ferry is easy and will be abnout $25 for the taxi (not per person). Ferry is about $30 round trip per person for the 30 minute ride.
