mozfoz Posted May 28, 2015 #1 Share Posted May 28, 2015 We are a party of 20 sailing out of NY. We intend to get 2 vans or a party bus to take us from South Jersey to the terminal. I thought I once read that large transports are not allowed in the pier area. Can anyone offer advice? Thank you.
mrobstad Posted May 28, 2015 #2 Share Posted May 28, 2015 I can't imagine why not. Looked like an airport terminal.
boo214 Posted May 28, 2015 #3 Share Posted May 28, 2015 (edited) for drop off only they are definitely allowed. to park the best thing to do is call the port directly and ask. Edited May 28, 2015 by boo214
bob brown Posted May 30, 2015 #4 Share Posted May 30, 2015 I don't know about what arrangements have to be made, but large full sized 45 foot coaches (mainly Academy), have a regular 'sawtooth' loading area right in front of the lower (arrival level) of the Manhattan cruise ship terminal.... marco Posted May 31, 2015 #5 Share Posted May 31, 2015 (edited) Yes, big coaches and party buses/vans have parking bays to the left and right of the terminal entrance. Usually a porter with their cart will approach an arriving bus/van even before the luggage starts to be unloaded from the vehicle. They will be there upon your return, as well. We've arrived via coach or party bus/van on numerous occasions. VERY easy and uncomplicated. Edited May 31, 2015 by marco
