Emb Suites/Hyatt place water taxi trolley CONFUSED?

We r staying either at Emb Suites or Hyatt place and want to take the water taxi for the day...posters have said its a little far to walk if hot. What is best way?? Take trolley to water taxi stop? If returning after trolley stops for the day is it safe and convenient to walk back to hotel after dark from closest water taxi stop??? Thanks for any input!!

I wouldn't be too concerned walking 17th St in the evening. It's about a mile to the Embassy Suites, so it's up to you. A cab from the Hilton would be cheap if you decided it wasn't a good idea, and I think there is also city transit buses there.

This past Oct. I walked both ways and it took me about 20 minutes, it is on level sidewalks and well lit at night.

We walk around that area at night all the time.

You won't be alone walking. There are always people around and on 17th st. Lots of restaurants and stores for people to visit.

We walked it from Emb Suites to the 'under 17th St bridge stop' (and back) in April. Took us about 10 mins each way...no problem at all.
