How to get to Liverpool Train Station

Was wondering what streets we would have to use to walk from the port to the Liverpool Central Train station going to Chester, UK?

Not my area, but I'll have a go! (unless any locals know better!:D)

Nearest station to the cruise pier is James Street. About a 10 minute walk...heres a map

Use http://ojp.nationalrail.co.uk/service/planjourney/search to check your train times. Off peak trains are 0930 - 1700. Off peak return is £6.90 and trains are every 15 mins, journey time about 40 mins. In the National Rail site your departure is 'Liverpool James Street', arrival 'Chester'.
