HAL cabin door "peepholes"

After an unfortunate incident many years ago, we're quite security-conscious.

On Veendam, our cabin's peephole was useful only to people six feet tall or taller. Over the decades I've shrunk by a couple of inches and could not use that security feature. It appeared to be the case in other cabins on that ship.

Is that a problem on all HAL ships?

(a disappointing cruise, by the way)

As we age, disc compression means we lose height. I'm inches shorter than I was 60 years ago. The design issue and its security consequences are therefore exacerbated for seniors...

And I wonder about the issue on other lines.
