Current food/drink prices for Margaritaville

As someone remarked on another site: "Bring your AMEX card and a back up!"

I've heard stories of $24 for nachos and drinks running $8-$10. Beer is probably $5-$6. About a $1 higher than other places along the beach strip. There's a 26% tax and service charge on final bill.

If there are a lot of people around service is very slow. They do offer an AI type package on their FB page. You can check that out.

I thought the AI ($50 unlimited drinks and one entree) was a test and they had discontinued it. I will check the facebook page and see if there is anything about it.

I was at Grand Turk last week. There was beer just done the beach, away from the zoo for $3. Bucket of beer , chicken wings and 2 lounge chairs for $25. Jack's Shack was $8-9 for drinks. Don't know about beer there. Jack's Shack has the best jerk chicken $10. :D

Which place were you at? How many ships were in port when you were there?

We went down to Jack's. About 1/2 way to Jack's is where we saw the sign for the $3 beers, and were offered the beer/chicken wings combo.

Loungers at Jack's were free, $10 for an umbrella. Again, INCREDIBLE jerk chicken.

We were the first ship to dock (Carnival Magic) with Glory docking a couple hours later. A few more people at Jack's , but nothing like the zoo at Marguaritaville. Drag your lounger 100 feet away from Jack's and have the beach to yourself!

Thanks for the suggestion, however we have two people on mobility scooters and two with rollavators so that is impractical for us.

Okay, so....grab some loungers in the nearby area...look to the right of the docks might have some closer to the paved area, versus deep sand and also might have more shade available. Then send a more mobile person down to Jacks or Island Jerks (good conch fritters and jerk chicken) and pick up food to go. Also beers, maybe a bucket if you bring it back. Mixed drinks are all going to be in the same neighborhood. If the Crew Bar or White Sands next to Margaritaville (and a closer walk) is open, you might look into that. They're supposedly reno-ing the place. but it and the old casino were accessible without getting into the sand, much. If all else fails and you wind up at MV. Just bring the $$$.

I can't say the exact prices, but we spent about $130 last month. We had 4 alcoholic drinks and 3 of them got the special glass with it, the 4th one didn't. Then we had 1 non-alcoholic drink in the special glass as well. We also ordered the nachos and calamari. That included tax and gratuity. That should give you a small idea of the prices.

Margarettaville, expensive. When we hit G.T. we make it a nice relaxing beach day. We stop at Margarettaville for one maybe two drinks at the pool bar or a table close to the D.J. booth, listen to some music and then walk down the beach to Jacks Shack for another drink or two. If you do hit Margarettaville check your receipt before you leave, they are known to make mistakes. And yes, when crowded, the service is very slow.

Hey now, quit telling everyone about Jack's Shack!!! We love Jacks, its not for everyone. Last time we were there beer was $4, sounds like they may have raised their prices.

If we were able to walk down the beach, we might give it a try, but we'll have two on scooters and two with walkers! Not practical, so Margaritaville for us, expensive though it might be.

Thanks everyone for the conversation. I was thinking about the "Zoo" since I have never been to GT before. We will be there in March on the Crown Princess. Sounds like Jacks is our style. See you there.
