pntnnc Posted January 22, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 22, 2017 (edited) We are looking for a highly recommended seafood restaurant to eat the night before our cruise in charleston, close as possible to the port. Thank you Edited January 22, 2017 by pntnnc
torpeedo Posted January 30, 2017 #2 Share Posted January 30, 2017 We always enjoy Hanks Seafood which is in the historic district, not sure if that's close enough to the port.
mnporter1 Posted February 1, 2017 #3 Share Posted February 1, 2017 Fleet's Landing. Amazing seafood on the waterfront right next to the cruise terminal.
ChucktownSteve Posted February 6, 2017 #4 Share Posted February 6, 2017 Hanks Seafood is within walking Distance of the port. The food is very good but pricey. The Fleet Landing Restaurant is the closest to the port terminal, overlooks any ship docked there and the harbor. There's also AW Shucks in the Market. I liked the old restaurant menu & prices better. Whatever you do, avoid Hyman's Seafood. The food is mediocre at best. The line outside the restaurant is fabricated with people placed at the window first and some dining areas closed off to appear busier. If a tour guide gives you a card for a free Hyman's appetizer then says they have the best seafood, understand that they earn points for those redeemed cards which translates into free food for them. I recommend you use TripAdvisor's reviews to help you select which you wish to try.
TrinaLC Posted February 6, 2017 #5 Share Posted February 6, 2017 I second Fleets Landing. Keep your eyes out for Porpoises!
