Anyone ever stay at La Quinta Cypress Creek?

We're looking at staying there a couple nights next week and I'm curious what it is like.

Will you have a car? I'm sure the property is fine, Cypress Creek is a nice area but a ways away from the port. Traffic is pretty heavy right now so I'd schedule at least 25 minutes to port.

We stayed there a few years ago so not the most up-to-date info I'm afraid. What I can say was that the location was convenient, and the hotel well maintained if basic - nothing luxurious, but certainly nice enough for our needs. I remember the breakfast lady was super-sweet :D. All in all, I would stay here again if it suited my purposes.
