LocoLoco1 Posted May 2, 2014 #1 Share Posted May 2, 2014 Guatemala's Puerto Quetzal Cruiseship Pier is rather distant from scenic 'things'. On several ocassions we've solved that issue by going by Motorcoach directly to Antigua and striking off from there Independently. If anyone has a better idea for an adventurous Shore-day from Puerto Quetzal I'd enjoy hearing it. Locomotiveman
Rare Azulann Posted July 14, 2014 #2 Share Posted July 14, 2014 Hello neighbor, when we did the Panama canal cruise some of those in our group did the ship tour of hikiing the volcano, others went ot Lake Atitlan, and one person on our roll call organized a tour to Mayan ruins (but that was a really long day) they all loved their excurisons. I went ot Antiqua and was not disaapponted. Have a great cruise.
jkgourmet Posted September 7, 2014 #3 Share Posted September 7, 2014 We did the Canal trip about 12 years ago on HAL which included a stop in Guatemala. We decided to go to Lake Atilan, and in 15+ cruises, it remains one of our favorite stops. It is quite a long way from the port, so it was One if the very few times we've ever used a cruiseline provided excursion. Magical place!
