Barcelona pre and post cruise

My friend and I arrived in Barcelona the day before our cruise, took a taxi to the hotel since it was our first time in this city. We spent the rest of the morning and afternoon touring using the HOHO bus. Our hotel was located off the Ramblas very close to the cathedral. It was very convenient to walk to Plaça Catalunya and the Ramblas. We did some more touring Sunday morning before taking a taxi to the ship. Post cruise we stayed in Plaça Espanyol and toured this part of the city. The Airport bus stopped in front of our hotel, taking us directly to the terminal. Easy peasy!

We are doing a 2 day precruise in Barcelona in June, will take a taxi from the airport to the hotel where we will be meeting our friends who will land an hour and a half after us. After sightseeing for 2 days we will hire a van to take the four of us to the port.

May I ask the name of your hotel?...and how you liked it? Also how 'close' to Las Ramblas - and was it really that close to the airport bus stop? or a short walk away? thx :)

We just came back from HAL's 11 day Iberian Cruise. We signed up with Spain Tour Day for the following tours:-
