dabear Posted May 9, 2007 #1 Share Posted May 9, 2007 We're planning to fly from BA to Iguazu for the day. Any recommendation on which airline, Lan or Aero Linas Argentenas ?
paul929207 Posted May 9, 2007 #2 Share Posted May 9, 2007 We had 5 flights on LAN within Peru over the last month. All were basicly on time. We got a so so snack on each. Each flight was full.
Aussie Gal Posted May 9, 2007 #3 Share Posted May 9, 2007 We flew with LAN from Santiago to Lima, Lima to Cusco and Cusco to Quito last year and we were pleased with our flights. They too ran on time more or less and the aircraft were newish and comfortable. We received a drink and a snack. I haven't flown on Aero Linas so cannot comment on them but do know that about 2 or 3 years ago they were bankrupt and all their flights were cancelled for quite a few months. greatam Posted May 9, 2007 #4 Share Posted May 9, 2007 LAN-one of the better airlines in the world. LAN's international service is on par with BA, Qantas, Cathay and Singapore Air. Aero Lineas Argentinas is still struggling along, even after the massive infusion of cash from the Argentinian government. Nothing particularly wrong with the airline, but given a choice, LAN. Francine Posted May 10, 2007 #5 Share Posted May 10, 2007 We did exactly that - only we stayed overnight. I would not hesitate to use Lan again. Have a wonderful time. We loved Iguazu Falls. Fran
shaq Posted May 19, 2007 #6 Share Posted May 19, 2007 I suggest you stay away from Aerolineas Argentinas, old planes & poor maintenance
