Orlando/Cape Canaveral Car Rental

Our NCL itinerary says we dock in Orlando, but I'm assuming that is really Cape Canaveral. Anyone have experience with renting a car from this port? We will be getting a one way rental to drive home.

Recommendations or good/bad stories for rental companies in that port?

That is good info to know...now I won't have to check them all to see if shuttles are available. Thanks!

I used Avis to get to the port today and I had an awesome experience. May change my reservation with Enterprise and use them when we get back on Sunday.

Avis seem to have more frequent shuttles than any of the other companies, i woul use Avis in preference to say Enterprise or Alamo, hertz also have a lot of shuttles too

We've used Alamo out of Port Canaveral several times with good experience. ALso, Florida doesn't allow one way fees!

I just booked a one way rental through Dollar for our NCL cruising in January. Nice $$. Anyone have experience with them and their shuttle service to and from the port?

Used Avis and had a bit of a wait on the shuttle. Our rental process went quickly because my husband went straight in to get the paperwork done while the rest of us stood there waiting on luggage to be unloaded. They were extremely busy and tempers were short but the staff handled it well. There were two ships leaving and two coming in that day.

Im booked through Alamo for Feb from MCO to Cape Canaveral. Any problems recently with them? Got a good rate.

I just saw something about Avis cruise transfer spot? Any one have any idea why this is a different location than their rental spot? It would seem just a drop off location for rentals for cruisers? Or am I misunderstanding it? TY!
