Miscellaneous Orient Beach questions

We plan on spending a few hours at or near Club O. when we arrive at St. Maarten. From what I've read, it's best to arrive early, between 9:00 - 9:30 a.m., before the beach gets crowded. Is this correct? It costs $20.00 to rent two lounge chairs and a beach umbrella. Is this correct? At some places, renting the chairs includes a free drink and free use of the restroom? If this is correct, is there a sign that indicates that? Do most places have bottled water and canned or bottled soft drinks for sale? Is there a restaurant that has good fish sandwiches, made from fresh caught as opposed to fish patties like you'd get at a fast food place?

Most places will have little signs with the price of the chairs posted on them. They usually also say if one drink is included. They should all have water and pop available to purchase. Not necessary to be there by 9 or 9:30. There are plenty of places to rent from.

At Club O? The first row of chairs is reserved for hotel guests. They are saved with little rings. If no ring, you can take it. No drinks with the chairs. There is a bar and a separate bar/restaurant. The restaurant has bathrooms but I think there is a sign that says for restaurant patrons only. No beach service for drinks or food, but no vendors either. You should be fine getting a second row chair as late as 11 am; this portion of the beach is long although after the last hurricane not wide. There's a small store on the property that sells beer, soda, and some food. They sometimes sell bags of ice if you feel like packing a cooler.
