Best airport to fly into for Galveston?

Looking at cruises and 1 I am interested in departs from Galveston. I would need to fly to TX but am unsure which airport is best to fly into and then how to get to terminal.

I need to see cost of getting to Boat before I can decide on a cruise as I will need to fly to every port.

Hobby is much closer to Galveston that Bush (IAH) but it may depend on which airline you would be flying.

Hobby (HOU) is much closer to Galveston than Bush Intercontinental (IAH). Hobby is the older, smaller airport - mostly Southwest, but also some other flights.

Thank you both! I can pretty much fly any airline out of Boston. Hobby is going to be the one then seeing as its closest. Ill read other threads on transport/overnight for suggestions.

You can get direct flights into IAH from Boston (I just did it last month, flew to Boston and drove to Maine for class reunion). You can get to Hobby on Delta or American but you will need to connect in Atlanta or Dallas (you can also go into IAH on those airlines as well). Not sure of southwest's routing as I don't fly them but they are the dominant carrier at Hobby (it is one of their hubs) so you might be able to catch a convent flight with them form Logan.
