Not everyone has a smart phone, believe it or not. So uber is not a possibility sometimes.

We just paid for the shuttle service thru Carnival.

I did the same as you. Took an uber on the way down and shuttle on the way back.

I cannot recommend uber enough, it was so easy. This was my first uber trip and I was really impressed!!
