EVER STAY AT AUBERGE (formally Terminal City Hotel)?

Recommended Posts

Haven't stayed there but our office has its Christmas Party there every year!!

Looks like a nice hotel, modern and location is great for post or pre-cruise.

For a shortcut to Canada Place, come out of the hotel, turn right and then right again, through an "urban park" type of walkway, cross the road and keep straight and you'll see Canada Place directly ahead - so just 2 blocks behind the hotel. Pretty easy to get too from skytrain (transit from airport) - make sure you come out of the City exit at Waterfront (look for the elevators/escalators actually on the platform), not the Waterfront station exit, and it would be a straight and flat walk along Hastings (2 blocks??).

There is a really scrumptious "chocolate cafe" on the urban park walkway called Mink - try their hot chocolate with cinnamon (they also do coffee), and they have some very unusual flavoured chocolates if you need a quick gift for someone!

Wouldn't think it has any special dress code - [there were several weirdly dressed football fans staying there last year for the Grey Cup (CFL)!!] - we're pretty relaxed here on the West Coast!

We stayed there a few years ago when it was called the Hotel Above the Terminal City Club. I don't think you have to worry about a dress code. I don't remember one even back then, when the hotel was more closely aligned with the Terminal City Club.

It's in a really good location. We enjoyed our room, although the lobby at that time was in need of a really good update. There is a good pub (Lion's Pub) that used to be accessible from within the Terminal City Club lobby. The Pub is actually right across the street from Canada Place. We liked it for a quick happy hour beer (and pub food) when we were there.
