How Far in Advance to Book Hotel Room

Our cruise leaves Friday Dec. 8 and I too am part of the early bird crowd....I booked not one but two, two different hotels for the night of the seventh. I now have a a lot of time to decide which one. Seems to me SO many people book a few places since there is no charge to cancel that things do get really booked up and it's a crap shoot to get into a cancelled space closer to cruise date

I booked Hyatt Place through value trips.com, and Best Western Plus Ocean Inn on booking.com. Does anyone have experience with both places? Both good rates, both good reviews on Trip advisor.

What's important to you, being closer to the port entrance and Total Wine or being close to the beach?

What time does your flight arrive on the 7th?

Lido, Haven't booked a flight yet,too early for that, but I think being near Total Wine will win!

Then the BW would be very inconvenient.

Meh...Not in my opinion.

Coconut's, Lulu's Bait Shack, Drunken Taco, Bubba Gump Shrimp and Casablanca vs. Boatyard, 15th Street Fisheries, Southport Raw Bar and Outback Steakhouse.

  • 1 year later...

I usually book three to four weeks before the actual trip so that we can et the room we want. Once I had a not so good experience when left booking for the last minute and the room wasn't what we expected since other rooms were either booked or occupied but we were staying their for two days and that was fine as long as the service was good (and thanks God phnr guys  did their best to treat each and every visitor like a king)
