Bus to Aquarium from Dockyard

I'm deciding between taking a bus from the Dockyard to the Aquarium or the Ferry to Hamilton and then a bus. Anyone know how long it takes to get to the Aquarium by bus from the dockyard? I know the cost is doubled when taking the ferry route but if it saves alot of time, it might be worth it. We would be going from there over to Hamilton/Heritage nights in the evening so will be taking the ferry back at night.
