Silversea World Cruise 2019

Just joined Cruise Critic tonight and anxious to meet other world cruisers. We've been on the Silver Whisper world cruise before and found it to be a life-changing and life-giving experience. The crew is amazing. They are warm, friendly, efficient, and professional. Our last world cruise was in 2014 and I remain FaceBook friends with many of the staff and crew. The Whisper is a perfect size ship for a world cruise. It's large enough to have ample amenities and choices, but small enough to have an intimate feeling. We were fortunate to get to know most of the other passengers on our cruise and have made lifelong friends with many of them. There are so many positive aspects of Silversea. The Captain and crew were always available to us, listening to our ideas and/or concerns. The ship was cared for meticulously, with hand sanitizers available everywhere (which becomes so important when you're living in such close proximity). The excursions were the best we have ever experienced on any cruise line and it was always so comfortable when they fill their buses only about half full. The excursions were creative, entertaining, beautiful and FUN!!! Even in very remote areas we always felt safe, knowing that Silversea had planned for any contingency. They always sent a crew representative with each group in case there was any difficulty during the excursion. We have stayed in their royal suite, silver suite, and midship veranda suite and have been extremely pleased with each of them. We are currently booked on the 2019 world cruise, which has an absolutely spectacular itinerary and includes time in the beautiful South Pacific Islands as well as Africa. We are so very excited to reconnect with many of our friends and would love to make new ones. Please let me know if anyone is interested in or booked on a Silversea World Cruise. I would love to hear about your experiences.

  • 1 year later...

The 2014 must have been very popular as we also were on 2014 but we continued the experience for the following 3 years as well.

We skipped last year but have  returned to our "home " for the trip to London.

There is another thread which has been running since  Aug and you May wish to have a look at some of the entries.

Well -- Silver Whisper is in San Francisco and I'm not!    Got a clearance from the wait list on Thursday morning -- too late unfortunately.   Have a great cruise everyone -- see you next time.
