The difference between spirit and legend?

Recommended Posts

They're sisters. Deck plan is the same. Spirit is more original.

Specifically check for differences in the slides and some food venues. Don't think either have Guy's, Iguana, either Frog venue or Alchemy Bar.

URNS...the Legend is Urn heavy!

Spirit has many 2.0 that Legend does not.

Spirit has an alchemy bar on Deck 2

Spirit also had Blue Iguana Cantina and Guy's Burger joint and the BI Tequila bar and red frog rum bar on deck 9.

Spirit has Fat Jimmy's BBQ on Deck 10

Both have Bonsai Sushi.

I asked the bartender if he knew what was in the urns. He said no so I told him they're all dead sea captains who travel year round on the ship. He believed me.

Lots of security cameras on Legend. I spoke to a security guy who is a friend of mine on Legend and he said they had to add the cameras all over due to going to Australia. "That's a tough crowd," he said.

I am just wondering if there is any difference between Carnival Spirit and Carnival Legend? There seems to be a whole lot more Youtube Videos about Legend than Spirit.

If it is youtube videos of Carnival Spirit that you want, I have some.

Between 27th March and 7th April, I more or less filmed the whole of the public areas on Carnival Spirit that adults go into except for the massage spa. So no kids club areas. So, I have the Red Frog Pub, fountain cafe, the gymnasium, the red frog rum bar, the Blue Iguana tequila bar, the comedy club, Pharaoh's palace, the lido deck buffet, all the swimming pools and spa baths, the casino, one laundry, the outdoor entertainment on decks 10,11 and 12, the dining room, the library, the disco, the alchemy bar, the duty free shops, guys burger joint, the smoking area etc.

However, i tried to film when no one was around. So you will not see a stage show or a comedy act.

I will be adding more over time. Here is what I have posted so far

They are carbon copies of each other, but being the Spirit was the prototype of that class, the decor is very sterile, while the Legend looks more Japanese.

However the Spirit got the 2.0 enhancements, which is really nothing more than branding what they already have so they can collect advertising dollars.

The Legend looks like ancient Greek. Japanese

Guys burgers are better than previous lido burgers. Branded or not.

  • 3 weeks later...

Actually many of the paintings on the Legend are Pre-Raphaelite, which is a mid 19th century English style of artwork. It's a favorite art period of mine :)

Japanese? I think you might be thinking of another ship.

Carry on!
