It is not working since the night before Hurricane Cristobal passed ( from far away ) Bermuda.

They say it is damaged...probably from a lightning strike, and they have to replace many parts and they hope to do it soon ( by next week )

Missing the views too :(

Update: Further investigation has revealed multiple but selective equipment failures consistent with an electrical surge, possibly lightning induced but cause unknown. We will have to replace equipment on site and are planning to do that ASAP next week. You will now see the message below when you visit PortBermudaWebcam.com . Thank you for your patience while we resolve this unusual outage.

Working again as of Wednesday, September 3rd.

Thanks PTZtv :)

P.S. Doesn't look "live"

I just pulled up the POB webcam and I see a Carnival ship there.

What's up with that? It's docked where the Summit usually is.

Yes! But water not moving. Neither are the palm trees. That's the pic I saw earlier.

I'm having POB withdrawal

Update: We are working on restoring our camera today so you might see the live video feed come and go.

I was able to get a screen capture as Summit was approaching Guess I timed it well :)

Beautiful view once again.

But it looks like the damage (or the repair tech) left the camera off kilter - the image is not level.

My OCD is twitching!

Okay, I just looked at the port and they are showing a rerun again of a Carnival ship from 4.19.2013.

  • 2 weeks later...

Hello everyone,

Is it just me ( and it might be ) or the image I get is "low" resolution for the past 2 days ?

Usually I get a sharp and crisp image...now I get a fuzzy water, palm trees are not sharp, image skips for a fraction of a second...

I am wondering if there is a problem on my side...or it's PTZtv ?

Thank you all in advance for your help !

Hi Sebas,

I'm looking at it on my work computer and now that you mention it, the image does get blurry every second or two. Then it's seems as if the camera is trying to correct itself and it straightens out.

When the shot of the ships and dock first come on, it is very pixilated. But I thought it always did that.

Maybe it's the fault of that Aida Luna ship ;)

The Aida Luna...that explains it ! :D

It was really a great webcam...( still is great to look at Bermuda ) now every 3 seconds, when the cam is moving, the image skips...I don't like it :(
