Is Great Bay still polluted? Has anyone been there recently?

Is Great Bay still polluted? Has anyone been there recently?

Cruisers go every day. There are no signs warning about pollution. There never has been.

But is it safe?

People happily swim there every day ... never heard of anyone getting sick from doing so. :)

Not from what I have read over the years and from seeing the brown sludgy water draining into it a few summers back.

Find a beach area furthest away from the ships. The drainage canal is near the ships.

Unfortunately even that plan might not be a good one. I have even read where the resorts way down the beach had to close there beach on occasion due to pollution concerns.

Is there any water sample data?

Wouldn't the beach be closed with a sign when there were concerns?

For me personally I see some hope in the latest results and that is definitly a step in the right direction.
