Mrselljay Posted January 30, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 30, 2016 Hi We are from UK and just wondered what the power sockets are as this is our 1st time on Seadream. Are they US or European. Thanks
abenaki Posted January 30, 2016 #2 Share Posted January 30, 2016 Both US and euro plugins are in the staterooms.

Mrselljay Posted January 31, 2016 Author #5 Share Posted January 31, 2016 Thank you - We have cruised on Seabourn and Silverseas and they also have limited outlets, we usually bring a trailing socket with us which seems to work quite well. Really looking forward to trip.
Zimmy Posted February 1, 2016 #6 Share Posted February 1, 2016 Be aware that the number of outlets is different on SDI and SDII. On SDI there is one American and one non-British (that was for ho-hum's benefit) European outlet above the desk. SDII has two additional European outlets in the dressing table, where there are drawers on SDI. One of those outlets is for the makeup mirror. (Come to think of it, I wonder if there are outlets behind those drawers on SDI. Gotta remember to check next time aboard, although I can't imagine Zimmy giving up one of those makeup drawers.) On staterooms that double up to Commodore suites, I suspect those extra outlets are not there since that wall comes out. Since we don't take those staterooms, I really don't know. Unfortunately, there are no outlets by the bed, making an extension cord necessary for a CPAP machine. If you don't have one, Engineering should. These days, just about all electronics will work with both outlets, but check out your hair styling tools. They might burn out if plugged into 220v instead of 110v. Mrselljay Posted February 1, 2016 Author #8 Share Posted February 1, 2016 Coming from the Uk we use 240V so it only goes slow in a 110v!!!. I have been known though to burn out a beauty tool on a 240v before now. Thanks for your responses really looking forward to sailing. We have a week in St Thomas before we board.
