Rainy day plans

I'm staying an extra day in Fort Lauderdale at the Lago Mar when my cruise ends on Dec 7th. Is there a nearby shopping centre that isn't too far away, where I could travel by bus or cab?

OR is there something unique to see that is indoors?

If it rains, take a short taxi ride ($10 each way?) to Galleria Mall which is all indoors. Some other options are downtown at the Discovery Center (more family oriented) and the Museum of Art, both just 3 miles away. There is also the cinema at Las Olas Riverfront downtown.

December is the dry season, rarely does it rain.

LOL! No snow in Fort Lauderdale! We are in the middle of our monsoon season and get 90% of our total annual rainfall May through August.

You should be very dry and have some very nice pool days!

We have spent a good deal of time in Fort Lauderdale and Miami in December and January and had very little to no rain.

We hope you have the same experience.

We also have enjoyed Lago Mar.

The Aventura Mall is about 20 km away (about a half hour drive) down US 1 (south). You could also rent a car for a day and tour around (concierge should be able to arrange, and give you some ideas for local activities).
