nigkar Posted July 19, 2017 #1 Share Posted July 19, 2017 I would like people's opinions of the Sirocco restaurant. What's it like, is the food good, and is it worth the cover charge ? All information, good and bad will be appreciated.
Pensioncruiser Posted July 19, 2017 #2 Share Posted July 19, 2017 Its been some time since we have been on the Spirit but then Siroccos was great and well worth the cover charge. We do always use the specialty restaurants on Thomson and they are still OK the last was Dream this year and Celebration last year. Vitalsign Posted July 19, 2017 #3 Share Posted July 19, 2017 Siroccos restaurant on Dream and Celebration were fabulous (the wine is expensive) but haven't done it on Spirit The cover charge I believe is a little more on Spirit and Majesty but from past experience can recommend Also you can have a cover charge meal in the MDR which we've done a lot of times You choose from the normal menu your starter soup salad and dessert and then choose a main course of T-bone steak Fillet Steak or Lamb chops beautifully presented for a charge of £9.95 on Dream and Celebration but a couple of pounds more on Spirit, which we had in June this year

Vitalsign Posted July 19, 2017 #6 Share Posted July 19, 2017 Yes and they will be filling your glasses regularly I find if you go for the extra in the MDR they look after you very well Tell the Maitre D at the door you want the steak on a cover charge and they find you a table pretty quickly We did find that the regulars in the MDR got in very quickly to go the same tables they'd had the night before This is so the waiters get a good tip at the end of the cruise as they are serving the same people every night although you can't actually book tables in the MDR If you go to the MDR the first night they will ask you if you will be in tomorrow and what time so they save the table for you We use the lido more as it's quicker so can have to queue for a table on our limited visits We tip our regular bar waiters instead - along with the cabin boy/maid of course This is voluntary
