DD and son-in-law will be on Carnival Pride to Bermuda and will arrive at 8:30 am on Wednesday and leave at noon on Friday. Trying to find out what if any time you are required to be back on the ship each night. Also, if the shops and restaurants are open later when ships are in port. Thanks!

You can stay out as long as you like until 11 am on Friday, usually no curfew enforced by the ship. BUT do be aware if England or the USA calls for a heightened terror alert the port's outer gate may close at midnight or 1 am to incoming road traffic including public buses and mopeds. If there is a change to the port openness known ahead of time the info will be presented at the Fun Aboard and on Shore seminar and mentioned again at the evening shows on board the night previous to docking. Consult the PRINTED FunTimes for the latest info if needing to be back to the secured port by a certain time.

There are water tours and hospitality establishments within the the secured port area, and certain pubs, restaurants, and entertainment venues in Hamilton that will be open at night but not too late. Most shops and attractions island wide will close between 5 & 7pm, transportation as well starts to slow down about 8pm and the last public bus pick-ups heading to the dockyard are between 10 - 11pm. If there while they are still doing Wednesdays Harbour Nights in Hamilton (ends Sept 6th) some of the shops on Front Street will stay open until 9 pm or have vendor tents for the street festival.

Are the shops and casino open when in port since you are there the entire time?

The casino manage can apply for an in port operational license to run the full casino on board from 9 pm until 5 am. Most cruise lines do arrange for this but it is not a guarantee, my last 2 Pride cruises they only opened the tables from 9 until 2 am, though slots may of be opened till the "closing" time at 5am.

The on board shops do not open while in port, with the exception of Cherry on Top (which is considered more of a food venue) and the Pixel Gallery, both of which will have very variable hours so see the FunTimes for open/closing schedule. If toiletries or healthcare items are needed there is a pharmacy in the secured port area that may stay open until 7 pm.
