Also, which ship and sail date are you considering? My understanding was that the only New York area port that Royal used as a base was Cape Liberty in Bayonne, New Jersey.

Royal Caribbean does not sail from Manhattan. They sail from Cape Liberty, which is in Bayonne, NJ. EM

Thanks for the info. I was mistaken, we are sailing on the Norwegian Gem from Manhattan...does it sail from Port 711?

The Norwegian Gem usually sails from Pier 88 - the pier just above the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum on the map linked above.

Welcome to CC, NCL leaves Manhattan from usually Pier 88, address is 711 12th ave. New York, NY 10019. Are you driving in?

This morning I read an article on the New York ports by Cruise Critic. You might want to search for it. There's also the NY port site: nycruise.com. Some ships go out of Brooklyn as well as Manhattan.
