Kayak hotel booking

has anyone used Kayak. I'm looking for 2014 The rates seem to change day to day.

Some really good rates but makes me nervous there is no way to talk to a live person

Lots of people use Kayak every day. That is why Kayak is a successful company.

Kayak is fine if you don't have a loyalty program, as some loyalty programs won't give you credit for "third party" bookings. Hilton Hhonors is an example.

I use Kayak all the time - for hotels, airplane flights, to check for cruise deals, etc.

Been using them for years. It's not a 3rd party site - they redirect you to whatever you choose.

Never had a problem.

Agree that Kayak is very reputable and I wouldn't be afraid to use them. They offer all kinds of services including tracking prices day to day. What are you looking to book..flights. hotels.....?

You are not actually booking with Kayak. They are a search engine.

Hotel. March 2014. I know it's early but fun to plan. I need 8 rooms there price was so much lower than the hotel web site

I'm surprised they asre showing hotels rates for a year from now. You are right to research and book early considering all the rooms you need for peak season. If you book something cancellable you can always change your mind if finding something different.

We've used Kayak for air/hotel/car several times. Never had a problem.
