New cruiser

Hi there,

I just booked my first cruise (Summit cruise at the end of April from San Juan to Cape Liberty)!! I am so excited but a little nervous about being seasick.

How are the waters in the Caribbean at that time of year? - late April into early May. I know it's not hurricane season but I am wondering what it's like.

There's absolutely no way to predict the seas. In one day you could start out smooth as glass and in an hour you could have seas of 20 ft. The ocean is very unpredictable.

It's a lottery but the larger ships usually weather rough seas reasonably well.if it gets bad the Captain can use the stabilisers.

If you even think you might get sick, dont wait to take something. Its a good idea to just go ahead and prevent the sickness just in case the waters get rough because if you wait too late then your going to regret it! Stop by the front desk of the ship and ask for sea sick med's and they will gladly give you some. There a 12hr pill and they dont make you sleepy or anything. I took one everyday regardless!!
