OK so after the Circus, we decided to explore the ship some more. We ended up in the arcade. It is awesome. Bigger than the one on the Gem. Me and my husband love video games. Each game cost $1 or more and we spent a couple hours there lol.

OK so just to remind u guys, we were in the arcade at 3am. The arcade is 24 hours and was hardly ever pack. (At least at the times we went lol) There were multiple games, racing, shooting, basketball, guitar hero, air hockey, and much more. Some games gave you tickets which you can trade in for small prizes.

Yes I won!

After the arcade, we went to O'Sheehan's for a late night meal. My husband ordered the chicken wings and I ordered a hotdog. I forgot to take a pic but my husband said the wings were good. The hotdog was OK but the bread was hard and stale.

Surrounding O'Sheehan's is more arcade games! So we took advantage lol

And we found a mini two lane bowling alley. It cost $5 for a game and the bowling balls are miniature with no holes for the fingers.

It sounds like they changed up Cirque a bit. It used to be that they served the food during the show. I like that they changed it so that you eat first and then they start the show. When we saw it, you almost couldn't eat because you didn't want to miss anything.

Yes it's true. I was wondering the whole time when we were eating, when the show was going to start. Then, after desert, everything started. It let's the performers have your undivided attention.

So day 3...

We made it to Florida! Our Captain has been updating us in the weather and states that there are storm clouds but hopefully with the direction of the wind, it will pass. Around 1pm, everyone gets of the boat. As soon as you make it outside, there is a huge line for a taxi. We were planning to go to Cocoa Beach. We had all our beach stuff with us. While waiting for the taxi, it starts drizzling. After waiting about 30 mins, we finally get a shuttle bus which cost $20 round trip per person I think. With the sky looking gloomy, we start to reconsider if we should still go. You know what, you only live once. Let's go and enjoy the day anyway.

At the beach it is extremely windy, people are packing up and leaving. We stood for like an hour enjoying the breeze and watching the choppy ocean until we decided to go back. Once on the shuttle back to the boat, that's when the sky's unloaded. Pounding rain the whole ride back.

After about an hour or 2 on the boat, the sky's clear up. [emoji35] Of course it does.

Welp, let's make the most of the day. We hit the casino. We got a $25 casino credit when I booked so we were using that. I love the casino, but didn't really win anything back. But I didn't use any money other than the credit.

Around the casino area, there is a game that you need to fit a key in a hole. in machine you can win $100, $500, etc. And in the other machine you can win, electronics like a camera, headphones, etc.

So close! [emoji28]

So everyday, we have been eating at the buffet or room service. I made 2 reservations for Teppanyaki and Cagney's throughout the cruise. Unfortunately, we didn't make it to either, from either being exhausted or to losing track of time. I wish we did make it to at least Teppanyaki since I never been to a restaurant like that before, but that's why there's always the future to book again.

*Side note: Room service food quality was also ok. Pizza was good, sándwiches not so good, roasted chicken was amazing. So it was all over the place. Food it free except for the $7 charge.

Day 4...

Great Stirrup Cay! I booked a tender the first day we got on board through the Norwegian's iconcierge app. Ours was tender C at 10:30. I definitely wanted to experience this island since being on the Gem last year, we skipped it during to some technical difficulties. After we got up early, got ready and enjoyed the beautiful, clear waters from our balcony. We also saw the tenders leaving from our balcony, I took a pic but I can't find it right now. It was a sunny day, we out ran the storm from yesterday so we were happy! We went down to the theater and waited there until a tender was ready.

This was boarding the tender, bottom level.

The temperature was 85° F but felt like 90. Nice and sunny. Not too many clouds. When we first got on the island, we went to the shops and bought some things. My husband wanted a shirt with holes in it but wanted it in a different color than they had. The guy says his mom will make it on the spot, it will be 20 mins. Perfect, gives us enough time to find a lounge chair and get some drinks. There was a lot of chairs still available. We choose a couple rolls back. Had good amount of sun to get a tan.

Our view from our chairs.

And more piña coladas. [emoji16]

acf085f1e6408a387354f0a56bc657f3.jpg

After a while, we went to check if the shirt was ready and it was. It came out great and only $20!

Someone liked the shirt! Lol

Also bought this shirt.

c1fb816194320d10f7708a8f0abb53e9.jpg

There was a buffet on the island and a lot of activities going on. A limbo competition, a volleyball competition, a beach babe competition, etc. We didn't do none of that, just was laid back enjoying the sun [emoji6]

We also bought a long island ice tea which was very good. I got a hot dog from the hot dog cart which was better than the last.

There was a family next to us that got 4 burgers and left it on the chair to go swim. Bad idea. The seagulls started to attack! I did not picture that as I was too bust running away from the seagulls...

Than we took advantage to get away from the seagulls and decided to take a swim. The water was perfect. Very clear, not to cold, not to warm. Only complaint was the floor of the ocean was WAY too rocky. I will definitely recommend swim shoes anyone who is planning on this itinerary. Trust me.

Also, if know how to swim (unlike me), than you should definitely plan to snorkel. The sea life there is awesome. A school of fish were swimming around us sometimes. Just be careful with diving seagulls try to catch one. Those Damm seagulls...[emoji38]

Last tender to the boat was at 5:30pm. So at 4:30, we decided we were tanned enough to leave. The line to get a tender was extremely long. Everyone was tired but there was workers from NCL handing out wet cool towels and handing out water. That was a really nice gesture.

What's hiding in this pic? [emoji780]

The tender ride was like 15 mins. Finally, back on the boat and we find this guy! [emoji1]

*Side note: We have been tipping our room stewart $5 every time he cleans our room. On the Gem, our room stewart didn't do towel animals, so we were excited when Harvey did some.

OK that's all for today guys. I'll will come back soon. And sorry for some grammatical errors, I've been typing fast and haven't been proof reading since I'm doing this whenever I get a break. Lol [emoji38]

Day 5... Nassau, Bahamas

After enjoying the beach yesterday, we decided to take advantage that everyone is getting off the boat. It was pool time! There was still a few people by the pool but it wasn't packed.

It was time to try the famous water slides!

a9fa145ba771e559770033200d76c362.jpg

Had to get a drink to build up courage to try these slides.

I decided to do the drop slide first. You have to walk up many stairs and the higher u go, the lower my confidence goes. Once u get to the top, u can see all the other ships lined up next to the Breakaway. Royal Caribbean, Carnival and some other cruise lines.

At the top, a worker greats you and helps you get inside the contraption. The nice worker informed us since we are wearing shirts with our bathing suits that we may get stuck in the slide. What?! We may get stuck? I guess we'll take our chances lol. You step inside and they close door which is shaped like a clear tube. You fold your arms over your chest and then a countdown begins. 3...2...1.... the trap door at the bottom of your feet flys open and your free falling! I was screaming at the top of my lungs and I lost my breath until i couldn't screm anymore lol. I was going so fast through the slide and then all of a sudden... I stopped. I did get stuck in the middle of the slide!!! Me being freaked out that my husband was gonna slide right on top of my head, I pushed myself down and then I continued to slide all the way down.

Next, I look up to so my husband about to go on his turn. I see him free falling and then all of sudden he stops too right in the middle. And then he starts to get up... omg! There's a hole on top of the slide. I'm screaming at the top of my lungs to "Sit back down!" But then I see another worker helping him out and there is stairs right next to that stop to get down. Apparently, a lot of people get stuck in that slide. I'm still teasing him about the slide incident.

So obviously we didn't try the free fall slide anymore and we spent the rest of our day on the pink and yellow racing slides. After like 20 races, we worked up an appetite and went to the buffet to get some food.

The Royal Caribbean Cruise right next to us. Looks like a fun boat, will that be our next cruise? Hmmmm....[emoji57]

Got back from the buffet to find these delicious goodies! I ordered it in advance on the NCL website for $12. Definitely worth it [emoji526]

So jealous that you guys made it to Great Stirrup Cay. We've never made it yet. Always too windy:(

Looks like a great beach day. Thanks for sharing and looking forward to more.

We miss Breakaway !!

Yes we were excited also that we made it this year. Last year we were on the Gem and they skipped it do to something called a "turbine" being broken and they needed scuba divers to come from Miami to fix it. We ended up doing an overnighter at Nassau. Still had fun though. Hopefully you make it next time. Fingers crossed!

Day 5.... at sea

Today the waves was very very choppy. The boat was moving non stop. Up and down, side to side, it was hard to walk without running into the wall or another person. I was just more dizzy than anything but it seems like my husband felt it more. He was vomiting, dizzy, and couldn't get out bed. So I went to the atrium to get some dramamine. The lady at the desk informed me to not take more than two pills in 24 hours. It was free which I didn't know. [emoji4]

So I got some ginger ale and ordered room service. I had to make him put some food in his stomach. We ordered some movies from the on demand menu on the TV for $10 a pop. We watched 3 movies.

"Inferno" with Tom Hanks

"Passangers" with Chris Pratt

"Patriot's Day" with Mark Wahlberg.

All were good movies but I'm not a movie critic so to each their own lol.

We dressed regular, black jeans and a nice shirt for me and my husband. It is located outside on deck 16. It's was pretty windy so I had a north face jacket on top and my husband a black hoodie. Shortly after this photo was take in started to rain.

Day 6.... at sea

Fortunately, the seas calmed down a bit and we were running smooth again. Unfortunately, my husband was still not feeling better and was still kinda of nauseous. So I took the advantage of walking the ship 1 more time to take in the scenery before it was time to go.

So word for the wise, always check your edocs! We had a couple of offers listed there like the $25 casino credit and 10 free photos.

So I went to the photo place and they have a binder filled with all your photos you took on the cruise so far. Your binder number is found on your room key card. I picked the 10 photos I liked and it was completely free! To be honest, I don't even know why I got this offer but I wasn't going to ask either lol [emoji38]

Day 7....

Last day, really nothing to report other than horrible disembarking process. We decided to self disembark and it's seems like everyone else on the boat wanted to self disembark also. It was pure chaos.

I didn't take any pictures unfortunately but just imagine the stairs on each deck packed to the max with people holding 4 suitcases a person not moving an inch. Disembarkation started at 9am. We got off the boat at 12pm. To be fair, the announced that customs was behind. But that was just torture.

Well anyway, my husband and I had a great time on our cruise. We would rate the overall experience an 8 out of 10. I love Norwegian but would most likely take a break from cruising and try a land base vacation next time. I hoped u guys liked the review. Thanks for reading and safe travels!
