pan am pier

Just found out we will be leaving from Pan Am pier instead of old San Juan. Anyone know cost of taxi or van to get a group from the Sheraton Old San Juan to the Pan Am pier? Any other suggestions appreciated also. Thanks

We just recently did this...shared a taxi with another couple that was going from the hotel to the Pan American pier too at the same time...the doorman asked if we all wanted to share it came to a total of $18.00 for the four of us and luggage.

Do any of the taxis accommodate 6 people plus luggage?

Yes they do. They have 15 passages vans

If you don't want to wait until one of the larger vans show up, your group can always take the next two taxis in line... It's a cost vs waiting debate you'll have to have.

That should help you to estimate the fare from Old SJ (zone 4) to the PanAm pier (zone 5). Fare between these two points is $12 for up to 5 passenger PLUS $2 fuel surcharge, PLUS $1 per suitcase or bag that does NOT travel on your lap plus any tips. Also, since there are 6 of you, there's a $2 extra charge for the 6th passenger. If each one carries just one bag the trip should cost you $22 plus tip for all six of you.
