Driving to Port Canaveral, drop of luggage before parking?

Hi, We are driving up to Port Canaveral from Vero Beach for our Freedom of the Seas Cruise leaving November 29.

Should we drop off our luggage first then park the car? If so, should one of us stay with the luggage while the other parks the car or should we both drop off the luggage then park the car?

Also, which parking facility do you recommend?

Thanks, Beth

We've always parked at the port when we have driven to PC - they have a set up where you can drop your bags with the porters, then drive to the parking garage with just your carry-on bags. Easy!

IF PARKING AT THE PORT

Freedom leaves from (new) terminal 1, the parking is connected to the terminal .... is is very easy either way . . .

if parking off site I've done it both ways and it really depends on how much baggage you have .... the shuttles from off sites are much easier on a busy day if just the driver needs to come back to the group . . .

Pre-booking today, Park n Cruise is $5.95/day whereas a 7 night Freedom cruise is $120 for parking at the port.

HI I just went thru this last month and at the last minute decided to drop the bags off at the ship before proceeding to our off-site parking lot. It worked great! There was very little traffic and it helped considerably to be free of a bunch of suitcases on a crowded shuttle bus.
