Port of Miami Security Guards and iPad thefts

Interesting article. Did not see posted anywhere so apologies in advance if it is posted and I just missed the thread.

ETA: I posted this in CC's Carnival forum since it mentioned a Carnival Victory passenger had an iPad stolen, but maybe I should have posted on the Florida departures board...?

Not to blame the victims here...as theft can happen anytime anywhere but this is a good reason why you don't place valuables in checked bags. Carry these things on. just like traveling on a plane, bus etc.

I'm glad these thugs were busted. I hope the owners get their property back.

No amount of background checks can prevent a thug sneaking through once in a while I suppose.
