Guest smithers853 Posted July 8, 2006 #1 Share Posted July 8, 2006 I love Royal Caribbean, but am very curious on "branching" out. How is Carnival compared to Royal Caribbean. (service, ships, activities, staterooms, food, and past passenger benefits) All info is most appreciated!!

jordanaire Posted July 8, 2006 #3 Share Posted July 8, 2006 As you can see by my signature at the bottom, we have sailed with both Carnival (10 times) and Royal Caribbean (2 times). Although each cruise line has its subtle differences, both a quite close to being the same. We believe that Carnival offers more when it comes to entertainment and music options. We also feel as though the food is somewhat better on Carnival, as some of the items on RCL's menu was served cold rather than hot. We loved experiencing the Johnny Rockets diner and ice skating shows aboard the "Adventure of the Seas", and all of the Texas passengers aboard the "Rhapsody of the Seas"! Would we cruise with RCL again in the future? Absolutely! We wouldn't hesitate sailing with them again. In fact, we are considering sailing aboard the Voyager once it's moved to Galveston like rumors say it will. As for Carnival, go for it! We have NEVER had one single thing to complain about with them throughout all of our 10 cruises with them. And since becoming Platinum Members with them this past April, the treatment we receive from them is simply worth returning again and again as a Carnival passenger! Bill
