OCruisers Posted July 29, 2015 #2 Share Posted July 29, 2015 We love going there and what we've always done! Easy! Lot's of options once you're there ... no real need to book in advance! Lovely, look forward to having a great day! :) LuLu
Rare crewsweeper Posted July 29, 2015 #3 Share Posted July 29, 2015 As Lulu says, no real need to book in advance, unless you're doing an AI at Nohoch Kay, Maya Chan or Almaplena. Outside of that, the malecon is a single stretch of beach. No barriers between beach clubs, no entrance fees. Some will charge for loungers and credit it to food and drink, some won't but will ask that you purchase something. The deciding factor , IMO, is level of service and quality of food and drinks. Some of the better places are Trpoicante, YaYa Beach and Pez Quadro. You can google each of these and read TA reviews and even contact them to reserve a lounger. Nacional Beach Club has a small pool and can be good(Evan makes a mean margarita) but typically cater to guest at their hotel. Blue Kay at the very beginning of the malecon has some good reviews on this board, I've never been there as it's new since my last visit.

Rare mitsugirly Posted August 10, 2015 #5 Share Posted August 10, 2015 I answered this in your other thread. Look at my review (in my signature line) for Blue Kay. It's a beautiful place and only about 5-10 minutes ($3 cab ride there) from the port with no admission price. :)
