Wine2go flasks?

Recommended Posts

Not trying to smuggle, just would like to transfer allowable bottles to lighter weight (and unbreakable) containers. Would this be a go or a no-go?

Anyone from RCI, please feel free to chime in.

Thanks

Oh, and for in-room use only, not to bring to the dining room...that would be tacky :)

If they see that, they won't allow it. Wine bottles must still be sealed and the label must clearly state somewhere that they are wine.

For comfort, convenience, and to mitigate risk of bottle breaking consider getting a padded, soft sided wine carrier.

Mmhm. That's too bad. It's not like it couldn't be opened to verify contents.

I'm actually less concerned about breakage (that's easy enough to mitigate), but it sure would be nice to lessen the weight.

Your dealing with port security people that have to process thousands of guests in a limited time. Much easier for them to simply say no, rather than conduct smelling/tasting tests.

Saw security take a big double bottle of wine in Baltimore in December. Made no sense to me. MAYBE someone was trying to take 2 big bottles.

You are limited to 2 750mL bottles. Those are standard wine bottles. If you bring a 1.5L bottle, even if it's just one, they will take it away because the bottle is larger than 750mL.
