Cashing out ES OBC during cruise

Who has done this? If so, when and which ship.

Did you just go to guest services and cash out? Use the kiosk? Use the cash out option at the casino and take the slip to the cashier?

Just wanted to get some feedback on actual experiences.

I wondered that same question also. And if you can you cash out OBC at anytime during the cruise or if you have to wait till the last day of the cruise?

You can cash out at any time,

However you have to have something, Credit card, cash, OBC to back your onboard spending account.

We usually like to pull off any OBC that we have and get it out in cash as I would rather have everything billed to my CC and therefore I am getting more rewards on there. I usually just go up to a slot machine load the desired amount onto the machine from my sail and sign account, then I cash out to my player bank, then go to the casino cage to retrieve my cash.

That's what I usually do too. I think it's easier that way. I've read some posts from others that have went to guest services to cash out, I don't know how that is possible.

Donna, I just did this on the Splendor last week. First "true" day, I went to the kiosk across from Guest Services. You need your S&S card to get the cash. After trying a couple of times since the kiosk wouldn't read my S&S card, I turned around to Guest Services and got the cash from there. No muss, no fuss. Left just under the amount to cover the gratuities.

Awesome.. I wondered if it truly could be done at GS. If there's no line, this I think would be easier than the casino. I will try it next week on the Breeze.. IF there's no line! :D

You may be asked if you tried the kiosk first (we were), so attempt it at the machine. If it works, no need to go to Guest Services. But if it doesn't read your card, you can't get the cash from the machine. It will work you all the way through the menus until it is ready to pay the cash... Then it will tell you that you need to use your S&S card and start you all over again.

It would be awesome if this is true... I got my parents quite a big chunk of early saver on board credit. However, the only thing I see on the carnival website under Early Saver is this: The on-board credit is non-refundable, non-transferable and has no cash value. Any unused portion of the onboard credit will be forfeited.

On our cruise last year I cashed out $1200 of OBC at the kiosk on the first day. Takes about 3 minutes as you set up a PIN at the start of the process.
