public transport from 16th Ave to Pier 39 San Francisco

Recommended Posts

Visiting San Francisco with cruiseship and have organised a helicopter tour which collects and returns to Pier 39

I am very interested in visiting the mosaic steps at 1700 16th Avenue

I gather it is about 11 km from Pier 39

If I got the helicopter company to drop us at the 16th Ave address after the ride How would we get back to the ship (apart from a taxi? )

Personally, I'd take a taxi.

I see the fare shown is $2 with a transfer ticket for the next bus but is the transfer ticket also used on the rail line as it does not give a fare price for this part of the journey

Thanks I think you may be right but depends on the costs Thanks again

A taxi from around the Cruise pier area to the DeYoung museum in GGP is about $25. So, the price for your trip wouldn't be too different.

When I was working in SF, I used personal or office car to get around unless it was a straight shot on public transport to places with tough parking. So, I have no clue about current transfer rules (or costs). Sorry.
